"Despacito" se cuela en los Billboard Music Awards 2018 con 6 nominaciones

Este martes se dio a conocer la lista de nominados a los Billboard Music Awards 2018, que se llevarán a cabo el próximo 20 de mayo.

Los artistas fueron seleccionados con base en “la interacción con sus fans, las ventas de sus discos y canciones digitales, las veces que sonaron en la radio, sus giras y el ‘engagement’ (compromiso) que tienen en redes sociales”, expresaron en un comunicado.

Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran y Bruno Mars lideran con 15 candidaturas cada uno, incluyendo la de Top Artist donde compiten con Drake y Taylor Swift.

El cantante británico estuvo presente durante todo el 2017 gracias a su álbum "÷" (Divide), mientras que el rapero llegó a la cima de su carrera gracias a "DAMN".

Luis Fonsi y Daddy Yankee como representantes de Latinoamérica, de la mano de "Despacito", se alzan con 6 nominaciones por su remix con Justin Bieber.

El evento será transmitido por TNT en vivo y en directo desde el MGM Grand Garden Arena en Las Vegas.
